Introduction to ICT subjects
(ICT) Information and Communication Technology, is a subject under technique and vocational field for form 4 and form 5 students that are going to sit for SPM.
- The subject is to delivered in English but for SPM, the question is still in bilingual (Malay and English).
- 30% marks are from coursework and other 70% are from examination.
- 9 coursework have to be complete in form 4 and another 6 coursework in form 5. This coursework must be complete before end of June for the SPM year because we'll need to send the coursework marks to the Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia in July.
- Students will learn 6 learning areas which includes ICT and Society, Computer Systems, Computer Networks and Communications, Multimedia, Programming, Information Systems. - Students who have learnt this subject are hoped to obtained knowledge and skills such as assemble computer, prepare a UTP cable for wired network, develop a simple multimedia presentation using authoring tools such as Toolbook Assistant, develop a simple program using Microsoft Visual Basic, develop a simple information system using Microsoft Access and many other useful things as well.
- Students are also required to have basic computer skills before taking this subject such as using Windows, Microsoft Office and Internet.
